I'm here to help!

Here's some information that may help you along the way.

Take a prenatal vitamin! Even if you are just thinking about getting pregnant, it's smart to start taking prenatal vitamins. Your baby's neural cord, which becomes the brain and spinal cord, develops within the first month of pregnancy. So it's important to take a vitamin with folic acid, calcium, and iron to ensure your baby has the nutrients they need.

Staying active can help you reduce stress, control your weight, improve circulation, boost your mood, and sleep better. There are many wonderful exercises you can do during your pregnancy. Walking is a great way to get exercise. Aim for 30 minutes of exercise 3-5 days a week. Listen to your body, though, and don't overdo it.

Even if this isn't your first baby, learning new things can help you to have the pregnancy and birth you have imagined. Learn what your birth options are in your community. Interview healthcare providers to see if they are a good fit for you and your family. Contact a local childbirth educator to attend a childbirth class, or find a doula who can help you prepare for delivery. Not only will you have the chance to learn more about prenatal and childbirth options, you may discover a new community to support you through pregnancy and beyond.
